Cryotherapy clinic and Minor Surgery

Before attending you will need to see a doctor for the diagnosis and then you will be given an appointment to attend for your procedure.

Cryotherapy clinic

Warts and verrucas usually clear in time without treatment. There is no need to treat warts if they are not causing you any problems.

The three most commonly used treatments are:

  • • Salicylic acid
  • • Covering with duct tape
  • • Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is only considered if you have used other treatment options for a minimum of three months and have not been successful. Please see leaflet here  (UNDER CONSTRUCTION) for advice on home treatments before cryotherapy.

We offer cryotherapy for warts and verrucas in a monthly clinic. Cryotherapy means liquid Nitrogen is applied to the wart or verucca.  It is very cold and has its effect by freezing the area treated.

Please see leaflet here (UNDER CONSTRUCTION) on what to expect from cryotherapy.

Minor surgery

If you require minor surgery, we can refer you to a local GP-led minor surgery clinic.

Please note we do not offer minor surgery for cosmetic purposes as per local NHS guidelines.
