How to request a Repeat Prescription
Repeat prescriptions are medications which appear on the reverse of your prescription which your doctor would like you to continue on a regular basis.
A repeat medication request may take up to 2 working days to process. It is your responsibility to request these 1 week before you are due. The Practice has a policy of not doing a prescription quickly just because you forgot.
Repeat prescriptions may be ordered in several ways:
You can order your repeat prescriptions via Systm Online on a computer, ipad or a phone app. The surgery will give you a log in and password to access this.
In Person or By Post
Your script comes in two halves: the prescription itself for you to give to the pharmacist as normal, and a white tear-off slip that contains a list of all the drugs you are taking regularly. KEEP THIS TEAR-OFF SLIP. To request a repeat prescription from reception:
- TICK the item(s) you want on the tear-off slip
- Leave the tear-off slip in a box at reception or post the tear-off slip
If a stamped addressed envelope is supplied, your prescription can be returned via Royal Mail. Find our postal address.
Requests for repeat prescriptions can ONLY be taken over the phone if you are registered as housebound AND cannot access online services.
